The Law of Attraction
The law of attraction does not care nor distinguish whether or not you focus on positive people and positive things or negative people and negative things. It simply delivers right back to you whatever you focus on, day in and day out.
If you spend your time focused on beneficial things, then good things come back. If you spend your time grumbling and complaining, then you just get more of those things you are grumbling and complaining about.
This very simple but important aspect arises because everything in your life is made of energy. You create it, and you attract it.
You can either drift around aimlessly, attracting more of the things you do not want, or you can create a plan based on those things you do want. The choice is yours.
What you see in your life right now is the culmination of everything you have attracted thus far. Everything in your life is here by invitation only. Whatever exists in your life is a result of past decisions or actions.
You cannot change your past decisions and actions. However, you can change what you do and say from this moment on.
Think about what kinds of experiences, relationships and things do you have in your current life. They are merely a result of your expectations and your beliefs.
If you tell yourself that you struggle with relationships, then chances are you will continue to struggle with relationships. If you always complain and grumble about bills and money, you are not doing much to invite wealth into your life. Until you start appreciating money and wealth and stop getting jealous of everyone else who seems to have more than you do, you will most likely continue to repel it.
If you want more of something, you have to prepare for more and will have to expect everything. Once you raise your expectations and begin to really focus on and appreciate what money has done for you, you will start attracting more of it into your life.
The fact of the matter is that like attracts like, no matter what. Reflect about those things you spend your time focused on. Are they beneficial things or destructive?
How about the people you spend time with? Do they lift you up or bring you down? Are they positive or pessamistic?
If you are a positive person, you will attract positive people. If you tend to be negative, more than you are positive, you will continue to attract negative situations and people into your life.
Additionally, life will give you exactly what you ask for, nothing more and nothing less. This could indicate that you may want to think a little bigger. If all you ask for is just enough to get by, then that is exactly what you will get.
If you ask for nothing, you get nothing. If you expect nothing, you get nothing, as well. If you want more, you have to ask for more and expect more.
Having said this, you might want to consider things in stages, so the things you ask for are actually believable to your subconscious mind. For example, if you suddenly wake up one morning and proclaim: "I am a millionaire," you may have a hard time believing it, if there is another voice in you countering this, saying "No, you're not!" On the other hand, if you give yourself time to gradually get used to the idea of having more money, you will have better 'luck'.
If you wake up and tell yourself "I am inviting wealth into my life," this is a believable statement. You can work your way up to being a millionaire. The law of attraction works like a magic genie; you get what you ask for, exactly what you ask for.
The secret is to hold an image or a thought in your mind long enough for your mind to take a hold of it. You cannot just proclaim you are inviting wealth into your life one day, and forget about it the very next day. You have to make your new thoughts into your habits and your new way of thinking. You could do some simple visualisations by closing your eyes and picturing yourself receiving wealth or living the way you wish to live.
Focusing on this several times throughout your day, and you might be pleasantly surprised at how quickly things start to change.
The law of attraction just might be your best-kept secret. It works, whether or not you believe in it. So you might as well believe in it. All you need to do is visualise the world you wish to create, and hold that thought in your mind and take action when things come your way.
