SHANTI YOGA is a Sanskrit term that means joining together in peace. It stems from a rich tradition and refers to joining together and directing all the powers of a human being: their body, breath, energy, mind, emotions and soul and resting them in the spirit of everything.
We’re only now beginning to realise how elegant, advanced and sophisticated the ancient techniques of yoga are. People are often astounded at the possibilities presented in Shanti Yoga. The practices are based on the eight limbs of yoga, steps that lead to Self realisation, and the total effect of yoga is to create peace of mind. Complex informational patterns directly from nature are conveyed to the body via yoga movements and postures, breathing exercises, sensory relaxation, concentration and meditation and can be used by the human system to reprogram the body and the mind.
