Peaceful Warrior: Dancing with Hope and Fear
Course with Workbook

Whether we choose to call it a spiritual path, or a warrior's training, it's ultimate destination is the same - the realisation of sacred wisdom as an effective response to violence, bullying and terrorism. The program aims to deliver:
  • finding freedom from hostility and fear
  • working with the enemies and
  • victory over war.

In this course we explore
- the enemy within (in the shape of a habitual, painful, mind state) and
- outer enemies (as someone for whom we steadily feel antipathy or fear),
which marks the edge between limited loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity, and the potential boundlessness of these qualities.

We look at the fear, anger and anguish, generated by being stuck in a mode of 'us' and 'them', and focus on the liberation we are capable of.

Human beings are capable of flipping the energy, discipline, and qualities of military forthrightness, and using them for peaceful purposes instead of war, to reinvent a way for that energy to be helpful rather than it to be just used for destructive purposes. Drill can be exhilarating when it teaches us to harness inner resources for committed action.

One can never creep when one feels an impulse to soar.
