That you exist is proof that God exists
Take the risk of living, loving and expanding
Loving is as easy as breathing
You don’t have to tell your body to breathe
it happens naturally, almost magically,
With each steady beat of your heart
To acknowledge and recognise the deep value
of the blessings bestowed upon you,
steward your resources wisely.
Seek to help lift up those in need
of hope and divine provision
which extends beyond material wealth.
Place your trust in the abundance
of goodness, faithfulness, guidance
and wisdom, to navigate through difficult circumstances
My deepest blessing is that the whole earth may know love.

Nirvana Wellness Retreat is a space where transformation unfolds, where you can deepen your practice, expand your horizons, and step into your role as a radiant beacon of light in the world. Here, at Nirvana Wellness Retreat, we have made it our mission to find ways to live more sustainably and consciously, by slowing down and living locally at the core of sustainability.
A few issues that are important to us:
Nirvana Wellness Retreat has a small footprint. It has been designed to reduce energy use. We are carbon-positive (offsetting more emissions than we produce) and powered by renewables wherever possible. The produce in our meals is sustainably and locally sourced, and we have an organic garden on site. We use spring water for household purposes and tank rainwater for the garden. We have a zero-waste policy and incorporate permaculture and biodynamic practices, including composting and worm farming. We have two apiaries including native Australian bees (thank you Angie and Cheryl).
Here we avoid the use of any ingredients that could be toxic or that could have negative impacts on health or the environment. This means that we don’t use artificial flavouring, dyes, synthetics, additives and other nasties. Our philosophy is that as we go to the effort of creating our health from scratch. So why not act in a way that is going to be completely safe for you, your loved ones, and the environment? We are all too conscious that every ingredient we use comes with an ecological footprint, and karma…and there are also risks for people with sensitive skin or allergies. For health reasons, wherever possible, we replace glass instead of plastics and stainless steel equipment in preference to aluminium.

The ‘health product’ is a growing and lucrative market, and for many providers and producers, it is just that - a product to be promoted and consumed. “Take this drug for this disease” has spilt over into the herb-vitamin-mineral- supplement-treatment marketplace, with a new slant, namely, instead of this drug, take this or that vitamin-mineral-supplement etc.
Wholistic health should follow a program that ultimately leads to better, sustainable health. This takes place with effort, over time, rather than the result of consuming the ‘latest’ multi-level or fad marketing miracle from Eastern Europe, America or wherever.
At Health Institute Australasia, Ayurvedic consultants and practitioners offer unique, integrated, co-ordinated wellbeing help and advice to those who wish to learn how to promote and maintain their own health.
