The Quantum Healing of Shanti Yoga

The Quantum Healing of Shanti Yoga is a unique, immersive, all-encompassing, powerful experience taught in Shanti Yoga, which introduces you to the sacred oneness of healing that soothes your body, energy, mind, emotions, and spirit, creating a sense of wellbeing from your deepest core.

It works with the primal qualities (trigunas) of nature, (prakruti), healing the three bodies (causal, subtle and physical), and the five sheaths of existence and by stabilising the body’s polarised energy, helps you be and feel happier and healthier.

We need to heal our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions which are inextricably interwoven. When we disconnect the mind from the body, as most people do in their everyday lives, we risk delaying our own healing, and even create new challenges to our wellbeing. The mind tends to fixate on problems, especially the body’s problems. So then, your mind becomes attached to its own concepts and perceptions of difficulty, diagnosis, and perceived limitations. This further blocks your energy flow, prevents deeper understanding, and limits your ability to resolve the underlying cause of the problem. We need a fundamental shift in our values, to pivot how we move, breathe, think, act, and connect, to achieve deep, whole, and systemic healing, inside and out.

Trust the universe. Life is changing. Any change in your life, whether it be welcome, joyful, challenging, or more subtle, presents you with the opportunity to pause and gather your energy, to work with whatever lies ahead. Life is finite. You don’t have to fit everything in.

Honour the changes and spaces in your life, with wisdom, perspective, and compassion for your human journey. Trying to push your way through endings, beginnings, and places of uncertainty, will only find you more confused, disconnected, tired, and uncertain. Pause, rest, be. Travel through life with curiosity rather than judgment.

Relaxing deeply, the yogic journey to no-self begins with connecting with the feelings and sensations in the physical body during asana, and linking it with the rhythm of your breath.
Your capacity to experience feelings and sensations, in other words, your sentience, results in a new awareness, opening it up to the energy channels of the breath body.
When the practice of asana is combined with breath consciousness and deep states of concentration and absorption, prana will spontaneously take over the practice. Your awareness then allows you to work with the bioenergetics that has the potency to shift your patterns, so that you can subjectively guide, direct, control, and manipulate the flow of life-energy, prana, in the subtle body. Energy will begin to direct the flow within the postures, and in these moments you will feel a sense of effortlessness, of complete surrender to a force greater than yourself.

This awareness creates a state whereby the observing ‘I’ detaches itself from the sensory mind’s workings.

The thoughts and feelings passing through the mind, or the sense impressions registered by it, become the objects of consciousness, while at the same time, the “I” is aware of itself as the observer of these mental processes. Presence is the experience of not trying to be somewhere else, or be someone else.

Knowledge does not equal awareness. Spiritual growth practices, increase many kinds of awareness and an intuitive capacity to reach for what feels more healing, and note that it is changing for each individual, rather than aiming for perfection. When nothing seems sure, surrender and trust. You are simply light dancing over space-time. In your vulnerability, in your broken heart, in your deep ache and yearning, you are carried by ancient and unspeakable forces, and brought home. The crazed mind, jumping from one thing to the next has a challenging time focusing on one thing. But the body is a more stable and constant experience.

Nirvana Wellbeing Retreat

Our retreat venue is The Nirvana Wellbeing Retreat, a beautiful 70-acre property located at Beechmont, in the Scenic Rim shire of the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It’s a 60-minute drive south of Brisbane.

You will be delighted by the scrumptious food and breath-taking surroundings that include stunning vistas, water features, meditative forests, many outdoor spaces, and the restorative atmosphere of this niche Queenslander homestead.

Nirvana Wellbeing Retreat offers a comprehensive set of daily, time-tested, self-care practices that can help you immediately reduce stress and maintain and enhance your short-term and long-term health and wellbeing. Practices include easy-gentle yoga, proper breathing, relaxation, and meditation. In addition to your Retreat program of learning, practice, and healing, you will have time to relax and enjoy our forest walks, garden trails, ancient Beech trees, rain puddles, and nature.

Accommodation is in a single room with ensuite or with shared facilities, in a sanctuary setting. Each guest room is furnished slightly differently from any other, and is equipped with single or twin-share beds with electric blankets, and a hand basin. Linen is provided. You can see photos of the property and several different types of rooms here.

In addition to our comfortable facilities, our healthy, flavourful meals will nourish your, body, mind, and soul. and you will enjoy 3 delicious, organic, Ayurvedic vegetarian meals per day prepared by our consummate Ayurvedic practitioner and chef to aid in repairing personal health and wellness. Meals are a communal experience, and social time. Special meal requirements incur an extra fee of $25 per day. Please notify Admin of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking, no later than 3 days in advance.

Nature’s healing is our first love. The visible world is your altar of worship. Instead of golf and tennis courts, there’s a gorgeous library, beautiful scenery, nature’s symphony, the dawn and dusk chorus of birds and insects, garden and forest walks, and discussion topics.

For your safety and comfort, we will still be offering single-occupancy rooms only, which means we have limited availability. Our July and September 10-day ‘Exceptional Wellbeing’ retreats are filling up fast, and early registrations are recommended to secure the best accommodation options for your stay.

Come to Nirvana and offer four hours of Seva (service) in the garden, and join us for a meal. It would be great if you can bring your own gardening equipment, such as gloves, gumboots, sunhat, pruning shears etc. if you have them.
