Dear reader

Now, more than ever, the present world situation needs us to stay connected with ourselves. The everyday rush of living has us thinking too much, seeking too much, wanting too much, while forgetting about the joy of just being. It should come as no surprise that you and I and people all around the world are heartbroken to witness the frustration and anger exploding around us
Life's wounds are part of the normal wear and tear that come along with living. Frustrations, disappointments, rejection, and pain surface up throughout our busy lives, challenging our patience, confidence and self-control. Whether you live in the USA, India, or Australia… there is the struggle to maintain a sense of inner peace while witnessing the strife that is facing our world.
We can't ignore the events happening in the United States. Acts of brutal violence have led to increasing division and feelings of deep grief and pain. Feelings of shock, worry, and confusion weigh heavily upon us, as we come to the end of yet another week filled with cries for justice and the trials of a global pandemic.
The human enterprise is in deep trouble. Just about everyone can see it. And good people everywhere are ,hearing the call, pushing for long-overdue change, while being personally overwhelmed, challenged, and anxious.
Compassion is another facet of love.
Some things are obvious, and we can act on them without delay, such as educating ourselves about how we choose to respond. Fear wraps our bodies and minds with paranoia, anger, distrust, and hatred, as we clutch to all that we have. Love, however, allows us to stand naked in our soul, and act out of generosity, to give away all that we have, to show kindness and compassion in the face of fear, to give to others the benefit of the doubt, and for us to unite with positivity. Compassion has us extend ourselves beyond our immediate families and pets.
It is never in any way acceptable to violently oppress, marginalise, or diminish others based upon their race, culture, or membership with any group. This must no longer be tolerated. However, whilst countries can legislate against unequal treatment, police brutality, and systemic injustice, laws do not change the mentality of people.
We cannot solve the considerable challenges we face when we do not have the genius of all people at the table.
We must make a commitment at a still deeper level, to see, hear, respect, and acknowledge the struggles that people in the human race have had to face, the obstacles they have had to surmount, and refuse to be silent or complicit in any way so that we can be part of the solution to unravel our old programming.
We must honour the diversity of experiences, the joy, creative expression, and grief which have generated acts of resistance and resilience. We must recognise the hard-earned wisdom that is essential now. It is time for a complete transformation in consciousness. We must make a commitment to embrace diversity, inclusion, and equity, and to raise awareness, that will not only change laws, but also shift beliefs, behaviour, and patterns of culture that contribute to oppression and the societal, institutional, and cultural conditions that have actively created unjust systems.
More than transforming racism, this is about the transformation of consciousness. Come and be uplifted here at the Shanti Yoga Centre. There is hope when we commit to looking at ourselves with newfound courage in order to pave the way for profound change.
We humbly welcome you to join our community of like-minded and passionate practitioners in their journey to gain access to transformational education and resources for on-going support to further develop your life-mastery. Together we can take action in the hope for humanity, by actualising the unique contribution you offer the world towards its healing and upliftment.

Once again, before us, we have the glorious opportunity to inject a new dimension of Love into the veins of our civilisation. Pain is a reality of life, but it doesn't have to control our lives.
Be kind to everyone.
Forgive everyone everything.
Do no harm to any living being,
and do whatever you can to live peace within and without.

We are very touched by the overwhelming support from our devoted team and loyal students during this time. Let us continue to move forward together with kindness, consideration, and a sense of community we can be proud of. Even when things are difficult, when the world is not going your way, even when you are suffering from anger, disappointment, loss or anything else, put your hand over your heart, breathe peace into your heart, breathe love into your heart, and feel your heart opening and softening and becoming peaceful.
