Music is love in search of a word.

NADA YOGA: THE YOGA OF SOUND

Sanskrit is highly regarded in the Vedas for the vibrational power of its sounds. Each syllable is considered a "seed" (bija) that resonates through the subtle body's channels (nadis) and energy centers (chakras). These sounds produce effects that cannot be replicated through translation alone. Because these sounds were standardised centuries ago, every mantra and sutra remains consistent each time it is spoken. This consistency preserves and even enhances the rhythm, feeling, and intention behind each practice, rather than losing it through translation.

Learning even a few Sanskrit words can significantly deepen your yoga practice. They will foster a deeper connection to both your actions and the underlying reasons for those actions, inviting a greater sense of presence.

These sessions are an invitation into the deeper tradition of yoga. They offer a doorway to explore the vibrational and philosophical roots of yoga more deeply, one note, sound, and word at a time.

May your exploration of these timeless teachings enrich your practice.
