Team Building
April 10, 2026Over five immersive days of silence, we reestablished that a meditation retreat is more than learning new ideas; it is about learning how to embody them.
For our team, this retreat at Nirvana Wellbeing Retreat provided a necessary sanctuary to pause, reflect, and reconnect. While the Southport centre remained closed, we gathered to be nourished by silence and calmness. We were reminded that even in seasons of uncertainty, our hearts are designed for greater capacities than we often realise.
For those who hold the traditional meaning of Easter close, this is a time to contemplate sacrifice and resurrection. In reflection of Lent (modelled after the time Jesus spent fasting, praying, being tested and preparing for Holy Week), we observed noble silence, contemplation, plant-based meals and stepping away from social media. In a world often defined by division, reactive with the world’s current tragedies - nonstop war, unjust imprisonment, oppression, people dying before they truly live, and the destruction of many relationships, creating space matters more than most realise. It brings us back to what is real: our lives, our loved ones, and our spiritual relationships. How can there be a resurrection if we do not stop the crucifixion?
On Easter Sunday morning, as the sun rises over the Pacific, we are reminded that new life breaks through for those willing to see it. Just as a seed must break open to become a tree, we must often break through old limitations to rise into something greater.
I encourage you to reflect on which parts of your life are ready for renewal. What old beliefs are you ready to shed, and what new opportunities are waiting to take root?
Easter is a feast of hope—and chocolate. It reminds us that endings can become beginnings and that love is stronger than death. When we choose to release debilitating habits, we clear the way for a resurrection to higher consciousness and the freedom to dwell in a land of peace and sweetness.
May you find the peace that is always available to you.
