The meaning behind your own beginning
March 9, 2026Getting the most out of your Shanti Yoga class
Shanti Yoga is an invitation to slow down and offer yourself the gift of space, rest, and deep exploration. Our sessions provide a professional and caring environment where you can focus while remaining open and receptive. To help you get the most out of your class, please consider the following:
Each session typically begins with a guided meditative and reflective practice. Towards a deeper freedom, you will be lovingly guided to explore some places you might be reluctant to go. We are all being held - always. Within the safe opportunity to meditate, contemplate, and turn toward that profound place within yourself where all parts of you are embraced without judgment or shame, you can process your joys and pains within a healing field of Presence, transforming your relationship with yourself and the world.
As a master breathwork teacher, Shantiji guides you with practices incorporating proper breathing throughout the session. This supports longevity, vitality, and overall well-being—starting at the source. When breathing improves, energy, focus and recovery improve.
Classes offer lived-in, practical experiences in alignment, anatomy, injury prevention, sequencing, yoga philosophy and subtle practices such as bandha and pranayama. It is a professional and caring environment, not rush-rush, hurry-hurry. You will be fully guided in practices that honour your deeper Self, help your body unwind, support longevity, vitality, and improve energy. Within this gift of space, ‘undoing’, and a deep rest from running away, you begin to allow yourself a profound communion with Life.
Session typically conclude with Yoga Nidra, or sacred rest. Fueled by stillness, this practice allows you to drop into the silence, let go of the journey ahead, and sink into the warmth of the present moment. Your tiredness is honoured, so are its healing prompts. The universe isn’t surrendering to you. You’re just finally getting out of its way. Here, as your intuition awakens, you start to let go of what no longer serves you, so that you can return to a state of presence and embodied awareness.
With devotion and dedication, offer yourself this gift of space, rest and deep exploration.
